Once upon a time there was a group of service-minded individuals who were used to meeting all the time, gathering together for social, fellowship, service and fundraising activities. Then the COVID pandemic hit and everyone had to ‘self-isolate’ at home.
But that did not stop these Lions from getting together. Thanks to the wonders of something called ZOOM (and other similar formats) Lions throughout the world have continued to meet. They have social hours, conduct board meeting, hold informational meetings with speakers and make plans for upcoming activities.
Zoom meetings are far easier to conduct than you would think. Hopefully someone in your club is able to put one on for you. If not, the District has a Zoom license, and several ‘tech savvy people’ who can set up a meeting at a day and time that you wish, and help you to conduct it. All you need do is contact Diane Quinlan.
Until we can meet again in person, let’s be sure we can meet ‘in a virtual world’.
